This is the 2nd Tavara Tinker story I have listened to and again it was a rollercoaster of a romp. This time Tavara and Jonathon have to investigate in the desert.
Tavara, operating under the orders of Queen Vic herself dashes in her airship to investigate who is interested in the 4 major global clocks, and ends up battling for her life against the dastardly . It does end somewhat abruptly with Tavara .

I enjoyed this and will certainly listen to more in her ongoing adventures, just to find out what happened.

And, as I listened to the audiobook version, I have to say that Melanie Fraser's reading is an absolute delight, the voice she uses for Tavara is deliciously sublime and just unbelievably spot on. Her reading certainly enhances the enjoyment of the short story

Loved this second Tavara Tinker story, loved the intrigue and the developing relationship between Tavara and Jonathan. My only complaint about this story was the seriously abrupt ending. My only complaint with the series is the fact that this story was written in 2014 and thus far there are not further adventures. These characters have soooo many stories left to tell!

This volume picks up with Tavara in her element. This series keeps me interested because of the very strong character Tavara is..."I am a seamstress" just brought a smile to my face when she was speaking with the Queen. The love between Jonathan and Tavara is very evident as well while they are both thrown in danger. The sound effects in the background of this audio is a great addition to the narration, giving you visual of what the pending danger is like. This volume was very fast paced and entertaining. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Melanie Fraser continues the narration of the series. She is able to read any genre and bring it to life. Her performance keeps you listening and wanting more.
